Lync Hybrid, multiple federated edge problem

Hi All,

We are deploying Lync Hybrid, lync 2010 on premises with 2 SIP domain in 2 Sites and each have own federtation edge server.

We got problem when moving on premises lync users to cloud.

Command:

$creds = Get-Credential

Move-CsUser -Identity userA@mydomain.com -Target sipfed.online.lync.com -Credential $creds HostedMigrationOverrideUrl https://admin.online.lync.com/HostedMigration/hostedmigrationservice.svc -verbose

Which return error talking about we have multiple federated edge servers have been defined in the current topology.

If we disable other site edge server's federation option, then the command works and success to move lync users to cloud.

However it is not feasible to turn off and on other edge server's fedeartion option, because they are managed by different IT team.

Any idea to fix this? I'm not sure if Federation Route can fix this or not?

Office 365 support did not have solution to this......

Thanks,

Roy

Hi notmen,

This error occurs because multiple edge servers has been defined as a federation edge for the Microsoft Lync online service.

Federation can only be enabled for a single Edge pool. If you have multiple Edge pools, select one to use as the federating Edge pool and configure federation router for all sites.

For more details,

To turn on Lync Server 2013 Edge Server federation
