Lync Client not saving conversations

I have two users on our domain that are having problems with Lync conversations not saving in the Conversation History folder.  I did find that they had over 1000 folders on their Outlook clients.  On one user I deleted over 300 folders and the other deleted folders on his own.  I am running this command to get a count of the folders (Get-MailboxFolderStatistics "user").count.  After deleting the folders the count on Exchange did not go down on either user.  On one user it went up,  what am i missing from the Exchange side to get the count down?  I tested deleting folders from my own outlook client and the count did not go down.  Its been over a week and the counts are still the same.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

From your description above, it seems that the issue is about the large number of folders in Outlook. Please check if also delete the information in "Deleted Items". If not, delete it and check if the count down.

For the Outlook issue, you can post a case on Office Forum and there are more Office experts will help to solve it:

As the large number of folders in Outlook may cause Lync not save conversation history in Outlook, so after solve the Outlook folder issue, check if Lync could save conversation history in Outlook folder.
