Lync Basic Crashes when it starts

Hello,

I know this question has been posted 1k times but none of those solutions seem to apply to my situation. Every time i launch lync, it just crashes and goes into "Not Responding " mode. anything i attempt to do on the application causes it to do that (sign in, drag it to another monitor, change log in info.. if i look at it wrong it will go into not responding!). i have already tried completely removing Bluetooth  drivers and software from my machine as well as an Intel Proset Wireless Utility i had installed (my system is a Dell Latitude E6530 running Windows 8.1) . Lync Basic is what i am running as i am trying to deploy Lync Online Plan 1. i have already tried running a repair of the installation as well as a full uninstall of the app .i have also uninstalled any apps that might be causing an issue. I know for a fact that is not my profile because i can log in on other clients with no issue as well as using the W8 Lync app. Here is the report Lync gives me when it crashes:

Hi O.J Gomez,

I suggest you can install the latest update first.

http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2899507/en-us

Normally cause by NIC or sound or video drivers. Sometime AV scan engines cause this. Need to isolate one by one. Client hand issue is 99% not a server related issue, All trouble in client machine.

In addition, please try to delete the following data and sign in back.

User profile:

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\sip_UserName@Domain.com

Registry Key:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\UserName@contoso.com

After doing the above steps, if the issue still exists, please try to create a new Windows User Profile to test the issue.

Best regards,

Eric

Hey OJ

I am seeing this exact issue on same hardware.

I'm using Skype for Business 2013 which I assumed would include any fixes. I already created a new user profile and same symptoms occur.

Can you confirm if Erics suggestion of installing KB2899507 worked for you?

Thanks
