Lync 2013 mobile Android client unable to sign in

Hi,

We have two type of users in our business.

1) iPhone users

2) Android Users.

iPhone users can login with the lync 2013 mobile client login without any problems, but when the same useraccount is used on the Android phone I got a message Unable to sign in.  When I use the advanced options and type the username as domain\username and Auto-Detect server is set to Off.The internal and external Discovery Address is set to: https://lyncdiscover.<domain-name>.com/autodiscover/autodiscoverservice.svc/root

When I use this settings the Lync 2013 mobile client for Android hangs on "Signing in", I do not get an error message or anything else.

You can find the log here:

I really hope you can help me out this problem, because I really do not know where to look for now.

Thanks!

Hi,

Please reinstall Lync 2013 on Android device to test the issue.

Please also try the issue on Windows Phone.

Try to enable log on Android and past the entire log.

1. After sign in, tap Options on the Signing in tab. On the Options page, tap Diagnostic logging to enable logging. Sign out and then sign in.

2. Recreate the issue. Return to the Options screen and tap About Lync.

3. Tap Send diagnostic logs and then choose a configured email account.

4. Enter the recipients and subject line information and tap Send. The logs are attached as a .zip file.

Best Regards,

Eason Huang

Did this issue ever get resolved? I am experiencing a similar issue with a deployment, the service functions correctly on iPhone, iPad and Windows mobile, but the Android does not sign-in.

Would be interested to know what the solution to the above was?

Thanks and Regards

Same here....

I figure if the Windows Lync client knows its server settings and works, shouldn't it be possible to get the internal/external server names in Windows to plug into Lync Android? Regardless, I put my org's addresses in and it hangs on signing in.
