Lync 2013 issue with office 2010 - PPT presentation issue

Hi All,

We are running office suite 2010 32 bit on Win7 64bit. We are presently upgrading our Lync 2010 client and server to Lync 2013. We are facing issue with Lync 2013 PPT presentation Option ( Screenshot attached). We packaged Lync 2013 using OCT tool for SCCM 2012 Automatic deployment. But noticed that this was creating a 2b registry in the below location which directs to the office 2013 power point which is not installed. (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{91493440-5A91-11CF-8700-00AA0060263B}\ ).

If this registry is removed PPT presentation works as expected. But through patching of Office 2013 or Lync 2013 we get back this 2b registry.

Can someone please help us solve this? as we are not in plan to upgrade office version we will need to work with office 2010 and Lync 2013 combination.

we even removed installation of office features during OCT tool. But we are not sure how this will impact on the Lync 2013 functionality.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Mahmoud, were you ever able to fix this issue?

We've ran into the same thing. All our users are still on Office 2010 when we rolled Lync 2013 standalone client out. Now a lot of Office integration / functionality is broken due to the registry keys you mention (not just Powerpoint; Excel & Word too). There are several other threads about this with no solution and Microsoft seems to not care about the issue.
