Hi

Do you have SfB server on premises or are you using SfB online? If on-premises, have you enabled skype directory search by federating with skype consumer and allowing port 4443 outbound from your edge servers external IP?

Does it happen for all users or just one?

thanks

Hi,

If the issue only happen for you, please try to delete Lync user profile with the following path:

%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync

Also make sure Lync update to the latest version.

If the issue happen for multiple users and use Skype for Business Server 2015 on-premises, make sure you have deployed Skype Directory Search with the help of the link below:

Can you try and recreate the local users windows profile (not the lync profile) If it is just this one user then its going to be either a local user profile corruption or a problem with that specific machine.

If recreating the user profile does not work, then its going to be a machine issue. Perhaps the easiest way to nip this issue in the bud if it still exists after profile recreation is to reimage the machine. Unfortunately, without actually troubleshooting this directly its going to be pretty impossible to tell you exactly what is causing it.
