Lync 2013 client login prompt after AD account password change

We have a policy where every user have to change their active directory passowrd after xx days. Once user change thier AD password, Lync also prompt them sign in page and user have to type their password again.

Is there any way we can avoide it? I dont want my users to login again on Lync. Outlook gets the new password from AD so Lync should do the same.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

This is normal behaviour for some scenarios.

if a users choose to save the password -as it's usually the case, this is stored in the credential manager.

Lync client usually requires a password-based authentication only upon 1st logon. It then downloads a certificate and uses it for subsequent authentications.

However, Lync also needs to access Exchange web services to pull out calendar information, etc. - authentication across EWS might require a password (the cached one).

when users change password, the cached password is not valid anymore here's why you get the prompt.

Hi,

Agree with Alessio, the cached password is not valid after changing the password. The user has to type password again.
