Lync 2013 Video Issues

Hi,

I have a Win7 Home Premium desktop running Lync 2013 client and it will not show any incoming call
video.
It sends video but is unable to see video from someone else. Even the small picture on the
bottom right of my screen shows no picture but people on the other end of the call can see me.I have tried installing both the 32 bit as well as the 64 bit software but the problem persists.

I had no problems with the lync 2010 client on the same machine.

My notebook is a Samsung NP530U4B

Any assistance would be appreciated

It's likely Lync 2013 not liking one of your drivers, I'd try to revert to generic drivers for video, etc to see if you have find the culprit.  Before you go that far, I'd also try disabling hardware graphics acceleration for Office: http://www.skypeadmin.com/2013/08/03/lync-2013-video-stuck-at-loading/

Hi,

Agree with Anthony Caragol. Please try to uninstall the default Graphic Card. Then restart Lync 2013 and disable the hardware graphics acceleration for Office.

If the issue persists, please also uninstall the default Sound Card, VGA Device/Video Card, and repair Office 2013 to test the issue again.

Best Regards,

Hi Anthony,

Thanks so much. Disabling the hardware acceleration in Office solved the problem.

Cheers
