Lync 2013 Auto Start

Currently Lync 2013 client places a registry entry which causes it to auto start on logon.

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Every time a new user logs in, the Lync.exe runs.

I do not want that registry entry to be placed in the run key for new users.  I also need to remove it for existing users.

I have tried using a GPP to remove the entry from the registry but the exe runs before the GPP and it takes a second logon for it to take effect.

Does anyone know what places the run line in the registry?  I have looked in the .default profile and do not see it in the run key.  Does some process run which adds it?  Any way to disable it?

Thanks

Any reason why you cant just simply change the key value value from 1 to 0?
