Lync 2013 / Skype for Business remote session - incessant freezes

Hello all,

I have an issue when remote controlling computers with the Lync tool (Distant user has to Share desktop and then Give control).

When working on remote computer, Lync often freeze and I have to click on another window + get back to Lync to have it working again.

This is really annoying as I'm an IT admin and have to do a lot of remote control sessions.

I didn't have this problem with Lync 2010. Upgraded to Lync 2013 a week ago and the problem appeared. Upgraded to Skype for Business yesterday and the problem is still there...

Oh and btw all my colleagues have the same issue ! :(

Anyone who can help me ?

Thanks a lot. Kind regards,

Romain

I don't have this issue.  Are all of the computers the same image?  Are the computers remote or across a WAN?

I'd try to see if you can reproduce the issue on two machines with a base Windows install, with no drivers installed other than what Windows installed (ie. no video drivers, etc) in the same subnet on the same switch, only the Lync 2013 client installed.

If you can't reproduce it, install the rest of the drivers and software and see if the issue appears.  If so, then the culprit is conflicting drivers and you'll need to narrow it down.  If not, then it may be networking issue, in which case you might want to apply QoS settings to application sharing.
