Lync 2013 - Invite groups
I am using a corporate Lync system and I have various groups created each with multiple contacts. When we were using OCS I could invite the groups to the conversation, however when you use Lync to invite it seems to just allow you to invite individuals which adds so much time to the task. Is there any way to invite my groups to the conversation?

You can initiate a conversation by right clicking the group and selecting "Send an IM" but the ability to invite the whole group into an existing conversation is no longer available.

Hi,

In Lync 2010 and 2013, you can't add multiple groups to the single conversation, if you want to add all of the users in the conversation, you can try to create a group in Lync client and add all of them in it. Or you can create a distribution group to add all users in it.

Very frustrating, especially as it also no longer just shows those online when you want to invite more people but gives you a massive list to sift through :(

Hi,

It is by design for Lync 2013. You can feedback by clicking the smile button on the bottom-right of Lync 2013 main interface. Thank you for your understanding.
