Lync 2013 - Can't sign in

Hi All

I'm having problems singing onto the Lync client.

As I hit 'Sign-in' the application crashes with the following error:

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
  Application Name: lync.exe

  Exception Offset: 0000000000009e5d
  OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
  Locale ID: 2057

Additional information about the problem:
  LCID: 1033

I have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  Originally I had a combination of Outlook 2010 and Office 2007 (all 32bit) and installed Lync 2013 client (32bit) from my Office 365 software portal.  I got the exact same issue so decided to remove all my deprecated office software and install the Office 2013 suite from scratch (including Lync) - this time 64bit.

After installation I launched Lync and still got the same error message.

I then patched with following:

mso2013-kb2727096-fullfile-x64-glb

msores2013-kb2817624-fullfile-x64-glb

orgidcrl2013-kb2817626-fullfile-x64-glb

and finally the latest Lync patch:

lyncloc2013-kb2825630-fullfile-x64-glb

I still get the error.

Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated!

Do you have some Special Software for Video etc. installed?

You can try to install the Lync 2010 Client, to see if this Client is running.

I've unistalled YawCam - that was the only 3rd party video software.  I've also disabled bluetooth support from msconfig.

Error still persists.

Hi, I had the same problem after updating from kb2817621 to kb2825630. For fixing this error I had de-install Lync 2013 with updates then I have installed it again.

Question: Why version of the Lync after kb2825630 installation is 15.0.4535.1507 instead of 15.0.4535.1510 which described on package's download page (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2825630/)?
