Lync 2013

Hi,

We have deployed lync 2013 server in our organization. We have about 5000 users with windows7,windows xp, office 2010-32b,office2010-64b,office 2007. We need to deploy lync client 2013 basic (32b & 64b) and lync client 2010 (For windows xp users) without user elevation or asking admin password on users' workstation. I could not find OCSetup folder to find lync.msi file for lync 2013 basic client. We want deploy this client by group policy or startup script. Please guide me if some one has deployed client with gpo or script with all steps, so we can deploy in our organization. Thanks in advance.

Thanks.

For Lync 2013, first you must use COT .

Here's a link with information about that

And other with Lync 2013 (no basic)

Thanks for reply.

According to the article, I could not find C: \ Program Files (x86) \ OCSetup Lync.msi  folder where lync.msi  resides. We can not follow the article without lync.msi file. Does any one has idea? I would appreciate.

Thanks

If you are trying to find lync.msi for Lync 2013 you wont find them.

If you want to deploy Lync basic 2013 you must use the OCT. And Dowload Lync 2013 basic http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35451

The article you are following is for Lync 2010.

Don't need lync.msi, just use Office Customization Tool and Lync2013.MSP
