Lync 2010 on prem and O365 UM

Hi Guys,

We have Lync 2010 on premise and O365 UM voicemail.

For our primary SIP domain we have voicemail working well in O365 and we can pick this up fine with Polycom phones etc.  We added a second SIP domain and did all the requirements and added SANs etc to certs and public DNS for the new SIP domain but users with this new SIP domain cannot get to voicemail. When we press the 'call voicemail' option we get call unsuccessful.

Logs on the edge server indicate a sip/2.0 504 server time out.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

Cheers

Darren

Is the new domain validated in Office365?  Is the new sip address assigned to the user's Exchange mailbox?  Have you tried disabling and re-enabling UM for an affected user?

When you created your new hosted voicemail policy did you link it to the organization name ? Example :

New-CsHostedVoicemailPolicy -Identity VMPolicyName -Destination "exap.um.outlook.com" -Description "Voicemail Policy Description" -Organization "<domain_name>.onmicrosoft.com"

Thanks for all your replies guys.

I had checked all these things over and over and perhaps should trust my configuration more on these projects.

On a second visit to the firewall rules with the firewall team and when analyzing traffic on the firewall it seems packets were being blocked between the SBA at our branch office and the edge server.  Once a rule was created to allow this traffic then it all started working!
