Lync 2010 on Android / HTC One: Menu Button disappeared?

Since a while the Menu Button has disappeared from Lync (note that the HTC One hasn't got a menu button of its own). I can no longer log out! Also, I am no longer able to join a Lync conference call using the mobile Lync client. When I reinstalled Lync 2010 I found out I could not configure my Exchange account anymore - because of the missing Menu Button :-(

Has Microsoft placed a wrong s/w update in Google Play store?

That is weird.

Did you notice what changed before this issue happened?

Did you find this issue on other Android device?

The install package for Lync 2010 mobile for android doesnt update since June 18, 2013.

I saw in the reviews on Google Play (Dutch) that on Aug 28th 2013 someone else reported the exact same problem with the same type of phone, a HTC One. So I'm not the only one.

I don't remember since when the issue occurred. I've used Lync on my phone infrequently (especially during the summer holiday period). It has definitely been working OK before. I received this phone brand new on June 27th 2013 and at the time I was able to install and configure Lync 2010. Now I can't do that anymore as I can't access server settings etc.

Is there a solution?

I ran into this issue as well.  I needed to enter the username as domain\username.  At the login screen, tap your phone's menu key (depends on the model). This phone had a menu key at the bottom below the touchscreen, opposite the "go back" button in reference to the centered home button.  This key added a "More Details" button on the touch screen near the bottom.  Tap "More Details" and select the username. Enter the username in the format needed for a windows logon (i.e. domain\username).  You can also change the server auto detect setting from the More Details pane.

Keywords  Android, Lync, edit username, domain\password

Had this same issue today and resolved it by installing an app that gave me a soft menu key (need root access)

Hope this helps.

If you push the home screen button of your HTC One a little longer the menu will appear.

I have the same issue on the LG G3 - there is no way to get the menu to appear.  Have to kill from application manager or reboot the phone.
