and it worked fine now what is the next step to be configured in lync 2010 server in order to be able to chat with skype???

i add an hotmail.com and outlook.com accounts merged with Skype in lync 2010 client however  the presence shows "presence unknown" and i dont get account request in skype and when i chat it gives this error

hi Eric

you could be right about my issues since i use local certificate for my Edge server. however for more detail here is my edge configurations.

i have used 4 IPs in my server actually i used separated ips as follow.

10.10.0.1 NATTED to public IP accessible externally edges.ok.com  i use this ip for edge server to communicate with my internal servers like domain etc and i have used internal certificate for it too.

these 3 ip are used for video, conferencing calling and i have used public certificate.

20.10.20.1 sip.ok.com

20.10.20.2 av.ok.com

20.10.20.3 webconf.ok.com

but for skype registration i have used edges.ok.com  which does make sense because i used internal certificate for it and since skype  communication works through public CA i think i have to replace my internal ca which used for edges with public one?

note: all those IPs are accessible externally and NATTED To public ip accordingly.

Hi GreeMann,

As for your questions.

1. You should not be able to see the Lync user's photo which is stored in their own AD.

2. The feature is still under development.

In addition, the vedio call is availble now, you can install the new skype (7.1.0.105).

Best regards,

Eric
