My Outlook My Contacts folder has four sub-folders : Contacts, PAB, Suggested Contacts and Restaurants / Hotels. PAB is empty. Lync is able to find entries in the latter two folders but not in the Contacts folder. I did rebuild the Contacts recently by exporting the contents to Excel, clearing the Contacts and re-importing the (modified) contents from the Excel s/s. No problems in Outlook but Lync has become quite blind. Any useful suggestions are welcome.
Lync 2010 and Exchange 2010 - Lync does not see entries in Outlook 2010 Contacts sub-folder (after export/import ?)

Hi vanHunks1,
Please try to delete the following data and sign in back.
User profile:
%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Lync\sip_UserName@Domain.com
Registry Key:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Lync\UserName@contoso.com
After doing the above steps, if the issue still exists, I suggest you can check if special client policy is applied.
For example:
ExcludedContactFolders Parameter : Indicates which Microsoft Outlook contact folders (if any) should not be searched any time Lync searches for new contacts.
Best regards,
Eric
