Lync 2010 Front Ends and Edge Server Health Checks Procedure

Hi, Guys.

Good Day!

Need your assistance on this.

Could you please let me know how you test your Lync 2010 Front-end and Edge servers to determine if they are healthy, up and running and working fine?

What key services, components on the Lync 2010 servers that needs to be checked to say that they are working fine and healthy? Do you have any procedures on this? Please advise.

Thank you.

BR,

Irwin

Hi IrwinBats,

You can simply check Lync Servers status in Lync Control Panel.

Also if you want to get more details, you can use some existing monitoring scripts or third-part software.

Hi,

You can use following command to check the health -->

get-cspoolupgradereadinesstate for FE

get-csmanagementstorereplicationstatus for all server CMS replication status

get-cswindowsservice check individual server

And you can also check event log.
