Lync 2010 Client Memory usage

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to understand the expected memory behaviour of the Lync 2010 Client.

For example Minimum / maximem :

Memory - Working Set
Memory - Peak Working Set
Memory - Working Set Delta
Memory - Private Working Set
Memory - Commit Size

I've searched though the Technet Documentation, Lync 2010 official guides, Microsoft support and of course the search engine with no results of any data.

Would anyone have done this before and have some data on this?  Could Microsoft support also please provide this data?

There does also not seem to be any Perfmon counter for the Lync client, could someone
please point me in the right direction?

Thanks and kindest regards,

Alexander

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for your feedback. I am seeing on different machines with the same hardware and software/OS the Lync client taking 40/MB memory and other 180/MB memory.  Surly there must be a set max memory the Lync client will take?

Im trying to understand and set expectations for for what memory should be planned for Lync clients?  Or perhaps I am going about this the wrong way?

Thanks,

Alexander
