How does CAC work on Audio Video Confernece (AVMCU)? If a site has limits does AVMCU follow CAC Rules for that site? I start testing the Lync 2010 CAC features on two sites and I have setup them up as follow:
Testing1: Disabling Audio Video on sites.
Audio Limit: 0
Audio Session Limit: 64
Video Limit: 0
Video Session Limit: 512
My test plan is to start disabling Audio and Video feature and slowly increasing limits, since I only have 2 sites (3 endpoint on ea) and see if the CAC Rules works.
1. I test Audio\Video from site to site and as expected is BLOCK since the limit is 0 for Audio and Video. This work correctly!!!
2. I test Audio\Video between end points in same site and it was ALLOW since CAC does not apply in this case.
3. I test Audio\Video to connect to a AV Conference and the user was ALLOW - ** Here where I have a problem shouldN'T the CAC apply and BLOCK the end user to connect to the AV Conference since the limit is setup to 0 audio and 0 video? <-----
Can someone help me on this third scenario testing????
When the Lync client connect to the AV Conference, who check for CAC policies, the Lync client or the AVMCU Service? Who is in this case the receiving endpoint?
Also, another question: Does CAC apply if users are configured for PC-TO-PC Only? In the above scenarios user are setup to Enterprise Voice, but I'm currious if CAC also works for user setup as PC-to-PC only as Telephony.
Hope someone can help me. Thanks for your input.
Thanks, PR
