Lots of websites fail to load on the first or second attempts
Hello there! Thanks for reading this. I'm currently having the following issues regarding my wireless connection: With Firefox, lots of websites don't load on the first or second attempts but refreshing eventually causes the pages to display correctly Download speed is fine (300-500 kbps for file downloads), and speed checks return around 3 Mbps down and 0.7 Mbps up (ISP quotes 7 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up) but I get mini-disconnects all the time Video chatting with Skype causes disconnection and sometimes, I think, resetting of the router (because my iPhone 3GS loses connection too) I was using the ASUS USB-N13 for a while and switched to the TP-Link WN822N. Problem 2 disappeared but #1 and #3 persist. #1 is particularly annoying. Anybody has any idea? Thanks a lot. My specs: Hardware : Core i7 2500K stock, MSI P67A-GD65, 2x4GB RAM stock, GTX 570 factory overclocked, Corsair 850W PSU, TP-Link TL-WN822N, Logitech C910 Webcam Software : Windows 7 x64 Pro OEM, Microsoft Security Essential 64bit, Firefox 3.6.13, Skype 5.1.0., lastest drivers for all hardware Remark : some of my internal hard drives are still connected to the SATA 2 ports by Intel, which as everybody knows, will degrade overtime for the P67 chipset. I will rewire them to my SATA 3 ports this weekend.

Hi all and Chunks, I already have installed the driver found on the TP-Link's site. The driver that comes with the CD is the same version as the online driver. Problem #1 and #3 existed on my ASUS USB-N13 adapter too. Maybe it's a router issue? Anybody knows any thing about this? Thanks

Dear Jerry, can you talk about these services and what they do to the end users? Thanks. Update: I have rewired my internal HDDs. The main OS drive and the optical drive are now connected to the SATA 3 ports of the Intel chipset, whereas the 2 storage drives are connected to the SATA 3 ports of the Marvell chipset.

They provide a free dns server to use in place of your ISP supplied server. See: https://store.opendns.com/setup/operatingsystem/windows-7 for detialed instructions. If you sign up, they offer some filtering options but its not required. Jerry

Hi Jerry, I've just set up so that I'm using Google public DNS. I have also applied the following hotfix suggested by another forum guru: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2482122 I'll update back here after a bit.

Dear Jerry and others, The open DNS suggestion did wonder!!! I no longer experience problems with websites failing to load initially. However, I still have this issue: Video chatting with Skype or Google chat causes disconnection and sometimes, I think, resetting of the router (because my iPhone 3GS loses connection too). This usually only happens when I broadcast my video. Can someone give me a suggestion on how to understand or deal with it? Thanks.
