Lost one of the Local drive.
I was having problems with my windows(windows 7 ultimate). It gets restarted on its own after about 2 hours, so i decided to re-install the windows. I inserted the installation disk then reached the point where i was asked to select one the drives in which i wish to install windows. The installation finished successfully. When i explored ' My computer ' there i found that one of my local drive was missing. Earlier it was there(before installation) but now it wasn't there. I explored the present disks, as i thought that might be the data of that missing disk must have been transfered to any other disk but this was not the case. I decided to install the windows again. So i inserted the installation disk and when i reached at the same point where i have to select a disk for installation, there i found that disk(that i found missing) listed. Then i cancelled the installation and again looked in ' My computer ' but with the same results(not found the missing drive).
Please help me. Tell me the way i can get that drive or data back. I need it. It was very important and i can't get it again.
Please guide me with proper tips.

Click the start orb, right click computer, click manage and select disk management.
Does the missing drive show there?
If so has it got a drive letter allocated?
If it hasn't, right click on the drive and select change drive letters and paths and assign a drive letter to it.

May be you have installed any third party programs and it then changes the partition table incorrectly.Arthur Xie - MSFT
