Lost folder
Here's what happened: I accidentally deleted a folder from my Desktop; the name of the folder is Hank. I tried to retrieve Hank from the recycle bin. Instead of selecting Hank and clicking on "Restore file", I dragged Hank from the recycle bin to the desktop. This caused both the recycle bin and Hank to disappear. I went into control panel and re-enabled the desktop icon for Recycle bin. This made recycle bin re-appear on my desktop, but Hank is not in the recycle bin or on my desktop. I did a search on my computer for Hank, and it gave me results. However, whenever I tried to select an option, it tells me the shortcut is bad because the destination file/folder has been moved. I'm on windows 7

I suggest you run chkdsk on the drive. If it does not help, try to download third party data recovery applications to retrieve your folder. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
