Loss of Internet Connection
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate on a Toshiba Qosmio laptop. After 4 -5 hours I lose connection to the internet. This will happen on both my wireless and wired connection both at home and at the office. I will still have a network connection. I can connect to network drives, remote desktop to other computers on the network and network printers. I just lose the connection to the internet. I have tried changing from wired to wireless connections, disabling and enabling network connections. I have disabled the network connection to TCP/IPv6 as one forum had suggested. Under the command prompt I tried to do a IP config /renew and it just hung there for ever. Any suggestions?

Hi, thank you post to Windows 7 forum. Did this issue only occur with using wireless? Please try to use cable to access internet to see if the same issue appears. Or you can login with Safe Mode with Network for test. As you said that you can connect to network drivers, remote desktop to other computers, but cannot access internet. Can you tell me or make a shortcut of screen of the error message when you want to access internet? Please try to delete IE cookies and temporary files and access internet again. Furthermore, please reinstall the driver of wireless or update it to the lastest version. Hope it helps.
