Losing wireless connections
Hello AllWe have a peer-to-peer network with 4 PCs - two hardwired and 2 on wireless. One of the wireless PCs is running Vista Home. The other 3 PCs are running XP Pro SP2.The problem is that I keep losing the connections of the wireless PCs to the network (No problem with the hardwired PCs)The signal strength is very good, put if I leave the wireless PCs dormant for a while I am unable to ping the other PCs by Name. If I ping by IP it usually makes a connection and I can then ping by Name. At the moment all the PCs have fixed IPs.I am using a V7268 Linksys WAG160N Wireless N ADSL2/2+ Gateway Router.Any suggestions on how to maintain these connections are very welcome.

Hi, Please try to take the following steps to disable Save Power function. 1. Click Start, right click Computer and choose Properties. 2. Click Device Manager. 3. Navigate to wireless card , right click it and choose Properties. 4. Choose Power Management tab. 5. Please uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." 6. Restart the computer and test this issue again. If the issue still persists, please let me know. Thank you for your cooperation.
