Losing bluetooth
Hi, I have just purchased a sony laptop. when I turn on the computer the bluetooth works fine, after a few minutes the bluetooth icon disapear from the notification area. I also have the bluetooth shortcut on my desktop, but it doesn't work either after a few minutes. Any help would be most appreciated.

This can have multiple reasons, among which faulty drivers, faulty hardware or even power options. Firts invetsigate your eventlogs to check for events related to device removal or drivers that stop. For troubleshooting reasons disbale power management (also look voor vendor specific tools which might have options to disable wireles, LAN and blutooth on idle or battery power.If possible exchange the hardware by a known working blutooth adapter. Install the most recent updates for your sytems (use Windows Update) and install the latest driver provided by Sony. If all of this fails, please contact Sony support: there might be something wrogn with the bluetoth device or even your laptop!MCSA/MCTS/MCP

Also please try to find Windows 7 compatible Bluetooth adapter driver for your model in the Sony download website. If no driver download is available, I suggest you contact Sony support for more information regarding device driver, or to check hardware problems.
