Long Login Time with Windows XP Laptop
Hello everyone,Our customer has the problem, that his Laptop needs until 15 minutes for booting when he is out of office (not in the company domain). We are looking for the solution, that the boot process after login is nearly so fast as it is when he worked with his laptop in his company!What could we do? Hi, ·What is the service pack installed on your computer?·Is there any external devices connected to the computer when logging in? Logon process may delay for many reasons. We will narrow down by following the below methods: Method 1:Check the status in booting the computer in safe mode:Here are the steps to boot the computer in safe mode:a. Restart the computer and press and hold F8 key (Press and hold f8 key before the windows logo).b. From the advanced boot option select ‘Safe mode’. Method 2:If the boot process is normal then might be some third-party application is causing the issue. To check which application or program is causing boot the computer in clean boot state. You may refer the below link for the steps to boot the computer in clean boot state. Make sure you reset the computer to normal mode.
