Logon script via group policy not mapping drives when UAC is enabled in windows 7!
Am aware from searching the net that there is no decent, straightforward fix to this issue (or none that I can readily find!). My question is why hasnt released a fix/update for this very basic issue? It has been around since Vista, I am ware of the launchapp.wsf file but c'mon people, that is a lame workaround and by the sounds of it, doesnt work very well?? This issue with mapping drives via gp login script should just WORK! Any help on me being able to get this working on my network of windows 7 users would be much appreciated! PS_ I dont want to have to disable the UAC for my users as it adds another level of security to Windows OS! Thanks, Peter

Set the DWORD EnableLinkedConnections under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System to 1. This should fix it."A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

Hi, i have seen this solution listed before and did try this but it didnt work when I set the Dword (64 bit as my win 7 is 64 bit) but when I tried again with dword 32bit it worked which is great but also read that this is not a supported fix by microsoft?? Nonetheless it does work but its a work around and not a proper fix, now I have to delpoy this reg entry into all my windows 7 pcs! sigh! But thanks Andre for your reply! Just would have expected MS to resolve this silly annoying issue!
