Login and password prompt for network shared folder even when acess restriction is OFF on NAS
I have a Buffalo NAS on the network with access restriction set to OFF and I still get promped for a Windows login and password when I try to access the share for the first time. How can I change it so it never asks for it? Running Win7 Pro

Hi, After checking this issue, I suggest that you can use Credential Manager to store the credentials: Store passwords, certificates, and other credentials for automatic logon Also, try to edit registry as following to check the result: Note: please backup your registry before performing this operation. 1) Open Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\ 2) Create LMCompatibilityLevel (DWord) and set the value to 1. For more information, please also refer to: LmCompatibilityLevel Hope it helps. Hi Alex, Tried both of them and still after reboot, I'm still getting prompted to put a login and password when trying to access the shared network drive. Edit: Tried it again after rebooting and it now worked! Thanks,
