Logging into IE7 to use it to run programs as an admin
With IE6 I could run it as an admin (use the run as a diffrent user) and be able to run programs and use the Control Panel. With IE7, it opens up a new window with the same rights that I have in my network login and I need local admin rights. I would just run the program that I need as an admin but I cant do this with Control Panel. How can I accomplish this?

I think "runas" is a tool that should solve this problem. At the moment I dont have another idea. runas /user:userXYZ@DOMAIN "mmc.exe" This mmc will be run with the rights of userXYZ. When there is another way Im interested, too.

Hi marcus1555, after checking the issue, it seems this is a Windows XP related issue. As this forum focuses on Windows Vista specific issues, this inquiry would best be posted to Windows XP forum via the link: http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowForum.aspx?ForumID=2010&SiteID=17 The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the newsgroups regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us.
