Locked out of windows xp
I am locked out of windows xp on my laptop. I have never had a user password and it is now asking for one. I went into safe mode to log in as an administrator and pressed enter leaving the password blank but it didn't work. I have downloaded two password finders ophcrack and NT passoword finder and both said the administrators password was blank and my user account didn't have a password. What should I Do?1 person needs an answerI do too

No that hasn't happend to me. I did add a user to my computer and it goes to the login screen. Before it would just go straight into windows since I didn't have a password. So on the login screen I press the user I want and leave the password blank since I didn't have one before. I get the message Did you forget your password? Please type your password again. Be sure to use the correct uppercase and lowwercase letters. Again in safe mode it says the same thing when i leave the password blank for the admin.

We can't help you with this in the MS newsgroups. You've already tried logging into the built-in Administrator and that's all we're allowed to discuss here under the Forums' terms of use. I'm sorry we're unable to help. A reputable local professional (not a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad) is your next step if you can't figure this out yourself.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
