Locked out of second part of partioned drive.
When I installed Win 7 beta it gave me little option but to bitlock my D-drive saying it was a system drive and had to be incrypted. I have the key and know the password but it still will not let me access this drive. The D-drive is the other half of my C-drive on a partition the C-drive is where windows 7 is installed the d-drive is all my utillities, family pictures, saved word and other saved files. It is most importantthat I regain access to this drive butwin 7 just will not let me. So I reinstalled my old XP and all that said was thatthis drive was a raw drive ready for formating. Woried about loosing more files from other dirves I have ordered an exturnal drive to transfer files from my other drives for safe keeping before I reinstall win 7.In the mean time is there any help you can give? Thanks for any help.

Hi got arounn this i think if you have Vista (i did it with Vista Ulitmate) Xp May work?"start- computer (right click) Manage" co to disk managementif you see a small patition (windows 7 makes this 300MB in size)right clickon that patitionand select "Marke patition as Active" if drive has been enceipted the is the boot area it need to see to boot your windows 7 os what happens here is that small 300mb area holds your boot files for windows 7 it is hidden and had no drive letter if that workes and you get in to your window7 open control panel and turn bitlocker off then
