It appears i may have input my password incorrectly a few times. I am now completely locked out of my home desktop...i have been able to log in to https://account.live.com/password/reset and succesfully reset my password, however it still will not allow me access. I need this resolved asap as i need my computer for work. This is insane.

Has you computer connected to the Internet?

If it is offline, then you can't login by using the new password.

You need to get the Internet access and then computer will know that the password of your Microsoft account has been changed.
