Hi Everyone, My brother in law was a CPA in Hollywood, CA and passed away this past Feb. 2012, after removing all his computers and personal things from his condo I was contacted by both his clients and in-laws regarding files and income taxes he was working on in the past year. I've also fould out that even though he has passed away a 'tax return' must be issued for him along with a Death cert. so here is my problem... 1: All his Ext. hard drives, hidden drives, flash drives etc... are protected by Bitlocker. I've not been able to locate any key's or passwords to gain access to them. I can logon the computer but can not access the files. The machines are a mix of both Windows 7 (32 bit, 64bit) and Windows XP Pro. I've been given permission to provide proof of death along with contact phone numbers for the corners office, police officers etc...in case verification is needed to prove this is not a hoax or 'someone' trying to pull a fast one. I've never used Bitlocker before and have not found any way to get past it. Can someone help me with this? Please understand that I've never used this and may be a little slow on how to do things with it. April 15th is coming up quickly and can use any help, maybe someone can tell me if there is some hope or if I am just "S.O.L." on this. Thanks for you help! Magic
