Local port numbers in the value range up to 65535 for outgoing connections
Vista 32Bits SP2 Clients of i-net applications of several types. In most cases Windows XP used for outgoing traffic local ports with number from the value range up to 4999. I guess, it was some generic recommendation to let the firewall passing traffic from ports below 4999. Suddenly on Vista ports numbers up to 65535 needs to be opened for software contacting the outer world. Wher this difference from?
