Local Machine Non-Administrator Event Log Access?
Is there anyway (i.e. group policy) to give someone (a developer) write access to the Event Logs (including security) of their machine other than make them an Administrator in the Domain?

Although I found a solution to the real problem I was encountering, I did change the UAC on from general user to debug user to event log user to administrator on the local machine and even temporarily changed the user's domain priviledges to administrator to discover that really the thread in use was using a different userid. In older versions of windows it would have been ASPNET. Using VS2010 on W7 and a debug localhost iis server, which default user is in use after the initialization thread?Marc
