Good morning everyone. I have a problem with my computer its a Sony VAIO VPCEJ22FX laptop. Recently i have been having a problem connecting to the wireless with my computer, It worked fine 2 days ago and all of the sudden it just stopped. Theres a switch in front of the computer that turns the wifi on or off. I have restarted my computer, shut it down, un installed the device, roll backed the driver, recovered my computer, and even had a friend look at it. Nothing has worked yet. The Device is an [CommView] Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter. It is in the computer so i have no access to it. Please can somebody help me? P.S. theres suppose to be a light that comes on when i turn the switch on but it does not come anymore unless i restart my computer and it comes on for a good 5 seconds.

I would recommend Sony native drivers. Next, it depends on the settings: If you have metalic connection, wireless may be disabled. Contact Sony support and/or forum for help. Notebooks are more sensitive to drivers as well as the order of installation (chipser driver is the first). Regards Milos

What exact model of switch is that? Other than the switch is there any router as well? Under device manager, ensure the wireless network adapter is detected with no exclamation or whatever. Also if you or anyone have apply a ssid & passphrase for the router, you would need to ensure the laptop is having same ssid & passphrase.
