Local Administrator and Domain Administrator
Hello, On windows 7: We are logged to a computer as local Administrator. The computer is a domain member. We try to connect to a network share. The domain administrator account is instantly locked. Do you have a solution to avoid this issue please?

Hi, What's the error message you got? When did the issue happen? Does this local administrator have permission accessing the network share? What do you mean "The domain administrator account is instantly locked"? Please ensure you have the proper permission firstly, then Clean Boot the computer and check the result. If the issue persists, please provide us with more details. Hi, No error message. This issue only happens when we want to connect to our network share from execute window. The local administrator account is the default one "Administrator" and we have a domain administrator with account name "Administrator". No, the local administrator doesn't have access to the network share. When requesting access to our network share "\\server\folder" from execute windows, it prompts to enter credentials and if we look at our domain administrator, he is locked out. Local and Domain administrator do not have the same password. Regards,

When did this issue happen? Once you created the shared folder? Check the permission of that network share, open to everyone? If there's no clue found, I suggest you use the Network Monitor to capture the network traces, see if it helps. No special circumstances. The shared folder is only open for some domain users. The shared folder is on a domain controller <= After some tests here is the issue. If we try to reach a shared folder on a basic server, no account lock out. On the logs below we can see account locked out after 3 bad tries (domain security policies).
