Loading personal settings
After I log onto my business network (windows 2003 server), the "loading personal settings " message appears, and it takes 7 minutes before the desktop appears. Why does it take so long to load personal settings. I have 10 workstations using Windows XP Pro, and two of them have this problem. I need a fix. Thanks1 person needs an answerI do too

ThanksAs I understand it, that message indicates loading the user profile, NTUSER.DAT. You might take a look at Event Viewer on the problem units for any errors from Winlogon. You also might consider using theUser Profile Hive Cleanup service , even though that is described as dealing mainly with shutdown issues. Also ensure that DNS entries are set properly.
