Linksys WMP54G card connection dropping!
Hi all, I have a linksys wmp54g wireless card installed for my broadband. installed with vista driver. sometimes it maintains connection for a period of time and sometimes it drops incessantly (very annoying, as i'm sure you can imagine!). This is a 7 issue, as was fine with xp. Have checked that it isnt set to power saving mode, and other 'obvious' things like antenna being blocked and things being plugged in. It drops randomly, i could be surfing, word processing, or nothing at all. can't identify a common theme. Any suggestions please?

Hi, Thank you for posting. To make the device work properly, a proper driver is needed. I have searched on Linksys website and get the following: Wireless-G PCI Adapter WMP54G Driver Download Please Note: Since the website is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information. Please remove the driver for LINKSYS WMP54G, reboot the computer and try the driver above. You may also try to install it with Compatibility Mode or by right-clicking the installation package and selecting Run as Administrator. If you have installed a network management application, please also remove it and just use the built-in feature. Hope this helps. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT
