Hi Herbertus,
The following steps will reset Internet Explorer back to defaults
and make it the default browser for embedded links:
With Outlook Express closed, open Internet Explorer and click Tools, then Internet Options
Choose the Programs tab and then click the Make Default button at the top of the window
Now choose the Advanced tab and then click the Reset button at the bottom of the window
Click Reset to the pop-up window and then Close when it is finished
Close Internet Explorer and test links in Outlook Express
Let me know if this helps or if I can be of further assistance!
Update: Wanted to also suggest trying this automatic fix from Microsoft:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823301
