Limited users have full access to other users accounts
Good day,Our school is currently running Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP SP3 on all computers in the school. The issue, which is occurring more frequently is this:1. A user logs in to their account.2. When they click on their "My Documents" folder, which is mapped to their home folder on the network under the H: drive, they don't get their home folder. What they get is a list (and full access) to all uses home folders.Because of the nature of the problem, I am unable to replicate it, it just seems to occur randomly. All updates have been successfully applied.I have examined the logs on the local machines and have found nothing out of the ordinary.I have already started investigating further and have some additional information to share/clarify.1. As far as I can tell, this issue is only happening in one of our labs.2. When the user logs in and has access to more than they should, if they log off and log on again the issue resolves itself.3. It would seem that the only time the issue presents itself is near the start of a class when everyone in the lab is logging in.4. When it is happening, as many as 3 or 4 students in the lab of 24 are experiencing the issue.I've thought about the settings in AD, the logon script, local policy, etc. However, because the problem is seemingly not limited to any specific computer or user, it would seem that there is another cause.Searches all over the place have produced no results. My initial though is a race condition could be the cause, but I know these can be hard to identify because of their often random nature.Any ideas on the cause or solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.Cheers,Ben1 person needs an answerI do too

It might be a network issue (not enough bandwidth) since it happens when everyone is logging in, but you really should post this in the appropriate Server forum on the TechNet forums. The MS Answers forums are aimed more at support for the end user. The people who help out at TechNet are sysadmins, etc.TechNet forums -http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/categories/MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
