Limited or no connectivity - have to repair wireless connection multiple times before it connects to a non-APIPA address
On home DSL network I have a difficult time with connecting my Windows XP Pro SP 3 laptop to Westell A90 modem. Connection attempts result in "limited or no connectivity" messages with assignments to IP address starting with 169.254. If I use Windows to repair the connection, it will eventually connect to my home network using the default 198.168.1.1 address & DHCP server. I do not have this issue on any other network (WiFi hotspots, etc). No other laptops have this problem at home. Any ideas?1 person got this answerI do too
