Hi, Is there any third party firewall or antivirus software installed on the Windows Vista machine? In addition to Careys suggestion, please temporarily turn off the firewall (including the Windows firewall) and antivirus to check the result. It would be better if you capture a screenshot of the pop-up message stating: "unblock ports 119" or 443.

Hi Have you tried connecting to the internetusing another computer.Youshould try this first and if you also encounter the same problem, then its most likely the firewallor some type of filter on the router. The only reason you should be prompted to open ports 119 and 443 is if you are tying to access some type of news server. Other than that, the best bet is that there is something wrong with your router/ firewall's configuration. I hope this helps you identify the problem.
