Limited/Unidentified Internet Connection on Windows 8.1

*This occur a few weeks ago so it never happened before.

*I can connect to the internet, it just doesn't work.

*It either shows unidentified/limited connection when it doesn't work.

*80% sure it is not a modem adapter problem because other devices's internet (phone/computer) still works fine, except for this laptop.

*If I want to use my internet I'd have to reset the adapter.

*Been using the power button to put my computer to sleep quickly for many months (atleast 3-5 times a day)

*The internet works fine but whenever I turn off my computer and turn it back on again, the internet connection would shows limited/unidentified

Tried:

Shutting down computer

Resetting modem adapter (this works, but I'd have to do it too frequently)

Changing the Internet Protocol Version 4 to "Use the following DNS server address" which was 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

UPDATE: It seems that the connection can be lost even when I'm using the computer, left the connection like that till morning and it still doesn't work, atleast until I reset my modem

Hello SplendidNakedButtPirate,

Now, only reset the modem can fix the issue?
Do you reset router or modem?

Please take the following steps for troubleshooting:
1. Try to use both wire or wireless network adapter and check if the issue occur in the both situation
2. Go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\All Categories and run the network troubleshooter
3. Try to command ipconfig /all and share us the result for better analyzation.
