Lexmark P901 Print Problems
this printer has been a pain since day 1. I have changed cables, run via USB and/or wifi even went to a different desktop (my choice). The printer may and may not print a paper from an MS appliction, most likely will not print from email with IE 8 or 9. Comes up with loss of communications. Lexmark is zero help. If you do one of the following: - Turn off printer, turn off PC and restart everything - maybe it will print. - Deleted Lexmark driver package, updated printer firmware, resdownloaded Lexmark drivers for W7 - 64 bit desktops more times than I can count. - Found these steps of : Stop spooler -- type in del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers\* /Q, then start spooler to clear out the stuck documents, which is what it does when it decides not to print and you can not canel or delete these docs stuck in the spooler. They also block all other printing. After the above it may print a few pages or docs from email and then quits again. I saw your post going at this a different way, but seems the same thing. Correct? Any suggestions on this mess.? Many thanks

I could not find a P901 at Lexmark, found a P910. This is truly a vintage device, but there was a driver for 2000\XP\Vista. I would say it's time for new printer for Windows 7. Use whatever Windows 7 attempts to use when it's connected and hope for the best. http://support.lexmark.com/index?locale=en&page=product&productCode=LEXMARK_P910&segment=SUPPORT&userlocale=EN_US&frompage=null#6
