Hi all, I just bought a new Lenovo B560 that's freezing (within the first week) right before the log-in screen on the "Please Wait." I have Windows 7. I called Lenovo tech support, and they were no help. They said it's either a software problem with something I recently downloaded (Microsoft Suite, Zune, and Skype - all of which I need) or a problem with Windows 7, because it doesn't freeze in safe mode. I'm really hoping there is an easy fix to this. I can still return it to BBuy if need be until Thursday, but I get to pay a lovely restocking fee, and they're out of this computer now. Anybody have any suggestions? I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance! Ashley

Thanks so much for sharing this. I have a Lenovo V570 and have been having the same problem. I tried other solutions to no avail when I found this suggestion. While in safe-mode, I just uninstalled Veri-Face and the computer booted right away. Thank you!

Matt, thank you soooooooooooo much. I have been dealing with this problem for so long. Having to restore every time. This works for all Lenovo computers.

I had the same issue, after setting up the fingerprint scanner on my Lenovo laptop. I found this article, uninstalled veriface and got the same great results. The laptop now boots up fine. Thank you!

the problem is caused because of a program that comes pre installed ( i had this same issue). The program is VeriFace, which is un needed with are handy fingerprint scanner
