Lenovo B560 freezing at Please Wait right before the Log-In Screen (Windows 7) - Help, please!!
Hi all, I just bought a new Lenovo B560 that's freezing (within the first week) right before the log-in screen on the "Please Wait." I have Windows 7. I called Lenovo tech support, and they were no help. They said it's either a software problem with something I recently downloaded (Microsoft Suite, Zune, and Skype - all of which I need) or a problem with Windows 7, because it doesn't freeze in safe mode. I'm really hoping there is an easy fix to this. I can still return it to BBuy if need be until Thursday, but I get to pay a lovely restocking fee, and they're out of this computer now. Anybody have any suggestions? I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance! Ashley

Hi, As the issue disappear in Safe Mode which indicate it has nothing to do with hardware and certain drivers. We can really move on the troubleshoot on the software side. Let us prepare clean boot for further information. How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 Note: Ensure that you put your computer back to normal startup mode after completing the troubleshooting steps. I am setting up a B560 for a friend and had the same issue. I booted for the first time and uninstalled Mcafee and upon reboot had the problem. Try booting into safe mode and uninstalling the veri-face software. That worked for me. We didn't want to use the veriface anyway, so no loss for us. You might be able to reinstall it later or something, dunno.. Good Luck Matt-
