Latency with receiving emails on EOP

Hi All,

We have recently have gone to EOP and have an on-premise configuration. We only use EOP for email filtering and do not use any of the other office365 features.  Ever since we went to EOP some emails, random, are arriving anywhere from 30 minutes to 7 hours late.

In the message header I notice the following:

Received: from na01-bl2-obe.outbound.protection.outlook.com (207.46.163.206)

by myemailserver.com (x.x.x.x) with Microsoft SMTP Server (TLS) id

15.0.1044.25 via Frontend Transport; Tue, 17 Mar 2015 16:51:05 -0700

Server (TLS) id 15.1.112.19; Tue, 17 Mar 2015 22:15:53 +0000

Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?
