Laptop w/ Windows 7 HP cannot access Printers on Vista HP network
I just added a new laptop running Win 7 H/P to a home network with an XP Pro OS and a Vista H/P OS. The Vista desktop sees and displays the laptop with Win 7 H/P. It can also transfer files to/from the XP Pro unit and the Win 7 laptop. They can all share and access the internet (wired or wireless)l. Trouble is the Win 7 H/P laptop does not display the Vista H/P desktop as a network computer other than on the network map. Nor can it find existing printers on the network. This is the case when connected wired or wireless. All systems and printers are set up for file sharing. I've tried every setting I can find and nothing changes. The Win 7 laptop shows as a network computer on the Vista desktop which can transfer files to/from it, but the desktop Vista H/P does not show on the WIN 7 laptop.

Vista computer. Enable or disable network discovery If the issue persists, please temporary disable firewall and anti-virus in Windows 7. If the issue does not occur you may need adjust some settings for the security programs.Arthur Xie - MSFT
